I am a Director of People Savvy Consulting and a freelance corporate psychologist who managed and practiced in a clinical centre as a psychotherapist; and over the past twenty years as an executive leadership coach, organisational consultant and facilitator. I have worked with senior managers of global corporations across a broad range of industries including Manufacturing, Financial Services, Professional Services, Health, and have designed and facilitated a large number of leadership, executive team development, coach training, and cultural change programs. Having worked with diverse individuals, teams and organisations, from senior executives to prison officers and fire-fighters, my particular areas of passion and expertise are in assisting people to create change in their personal and professional lives:
- Transformational Coaching – over 30 years experience of the privilege of thousands of one-on-one sessions
- Leadership Development – with People Savvy clients and as an external consultant and coach at IMD, Lausanne; and INSEAD, Singapore campus
- Team Coaching – designing creative and pragmatic programs for developing executive teams
- Coach Training – with People Savvy clients and as an associate faculty member of AOEC (Academy of Executive Coaching, UK)
I enjoy applying psychology to leadership and organisations in pragmatic ways. My work is based on several theoretical approaches including Systems-Psychodynamics, experiential modalities such as Voice Dialogue and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Cognitive-Behavioural Theory, Client-Centred Theory, Organisational Development, and Adult Learning. I believe that by having a deep awareness and understanding of our own and others’ behaviours, emotions, and thought processes; and of group and organisational dynamics; leaders can enhance their abilities to inspire, develop people, manage change and ambiguity, and be more innovative and authentic in how they lead. After working with people for over thirty-five years, I am still surprised at how much our early experiences – especially in our families (which were the first organisations we worked in!) – continue to influence how we behave and navigate our lives. But, this doesn’t have to be the case…
